I don't understand why people drive 1-2 hours for the eel here.. There are plenty of better places near ktown, palisades park nj or flushing ny. Maybe I just have high standards, but honestly there was nothing special. The eel, even with the seasoning, tasted fishy, and I had to eat it with a bunch of raw garlic and pepper to cover it up. Trout soup was ok, but again, nothing special. The pictured amount is 3 servings, or $99, which is actually pretty expensive in my book.
Unless it's in your way and you've never tried it, don't expect above average...anything. You could call ahead and order via phone if you know what you want - nothing beats having food come out as soon as you sit at the table. The garlic and peppers seemed fresh and were my favorites there.
